With a distinct visual approach that is often meditative and surreal, John Charter has directed a diverse range of award-winning films. He grew up in Colusa, a small farming town in Northern California, and is currently based in Los Angeles. John’s work has been featured in Slamdance Film Festival, Directors Notes, NoBudge, Brooklyn Vegan, Paper Magazine, the Brooklyn Film Festival (Experimental Audience Award), Mallorca International Film Festival (Best Experimental Film), as well as Oxford Film Festival (Best Experimental Film), among others. His collaborations span a wide range of brands, including Disney, Guess, IMAX, Fox, and Hulu.
